Interesting bits and pieces

Until a week or two ago, Tiger Woods’ balls were a prospect that only 14-yr-olds would have sniggered at. Following the sex scandal engulfing the hard-driving golfer, reports have now surfaced that there may be nude photos awaiting to surface, showing Tiger’s impressive club in all its glory.Woods reacted swiftly, ordering his lawyers to take advantage of repressive British law. As of yesterday, it is now illegal for British media to report on the nude photos — or even to talk about the court order blocking them.

Canadian sci-fi author Peter Watts was pepper-sprayed, beaten and then arrested by US border guards earlier this week, for asking why he was being searched. He has now been charged with assaulting a federal officer — the old fave of “damaging my fist with his face”, I assume — and faces two years in prison.
