Rubble is a piece of high fantasy. It’s technically the prologue of a novel, just one I haven’t written yet. 7500 words, and not an elf in sight.
A Masquerade of Angels, pt. I is a brief excerpt from an urban fantasy story I wrote a decade ago. It needs some work before the whole thing can go up, but in the mean time, I rather like this little monologue. 666 words (!).
Charm Offensive is a very small piece of experimental microfiction, veering on the purple. I’m not sure it worked. 135 words.
The Legend of Legba Bon Machine tells the myth of how Papa Legba, Voodoo Loa of Communication and guardian of the crossroads, assumed guardianship of the Internet. 809 words.
The Drowned Earl is a re-write of J. Sheridan LeFanu’s 1860 ghost story. It was a proof of concept for a modern-reader-friendly version of his work. 2641 words.
Elmwood is a follow-up, of sorts, to the classic HP Lovecraft story “The Haunter of the Dark.” 2052 words.
Stigmata is a short tale illustrating some of the back-story behind the SLA Industries sf-horror RPG. 1368 words.
